Location

The modern 4-star Superior Salzburger Hof Zauchensee hotel is situated approx. 11 km away from the centre of Altenmarkt at an altitude of approx. 1.350 m. Alpine skiers can get on a slope directly at the door. Cross-country skiing trails can be reached within about 250 m. Ski buses stop within about 300 m. Shuttle service can get you to the train station (for a fee).

Facilities

The hotel features various amenities, such as a reception, Wi-Fi, a TV lounge, a lounge, a common room, a lift, a hotel restaurant, a café, a hotel bar and a wine cellar. Guests can store their ski and snowboarding equipment in a ski cellar with a ski boot dryer. Drivers can use a parking lot and a parking garage (for a fee) - subject to availability.

Spa

The SKY SPA wellness area invites its guests to indulge body and soul. Your accommodation features an indoor pool. When it’s time to rest and recharge, visit a Finnish sauna, an organic sauna, a whirlpool, a steam bath, a salt steam bath and an infrared cabin. Guests can enjoy a Kneipp basin complex. Let the stress of everyday life dissipate in the relaxation room with water beds or recharge in the refreshment area with tea. A solarium, beauty treatments as well as massages are available for a fee. Our staff provides guests with a bathrobe, bathing slippers and sauna towels on a loan basis.

Children

The children's playroom offers a cinema for children and a climbing wall. There is also a children's playground featuring a slide. On request, parents with children will be provided with a baby package. Board

The half board plus catering plan includes a buffet style breakfast with regional products. In the afternoon (15:00 - 16:30) guests can treat themselves to Jause (a traditional cold snack). At dinner, our cooks put together a multi-course menu of choice with a salad bar as well as cheese specialities. There is a children's menu at dinner. A gala dinner event takes place regularly. In addition, culinary delights await you at the themed buffet. On request, we also serve lactose-free dishes, gluten-free as well as vegetarian alternatives.

Important notes

• Snow chains: mandatory
• When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
• Minimum age sauna area: 14 years
• Use of the lifts is free of charge for children aged 5 or under (at time of departure) in the Zauchensee and Altenmarkt ski areas. These children will be issued with a free mini card at the lift ticket office on site. If your child wishes to use the lifts independently in other Ski amadé ski areas, a mini card (lift pass) may need to be purchased on site.
• If you have booked equipment through us, the ski hire shop is located in Flachau (approx. 10 km away).
