Ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental

With the “SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental” lift pass you have access to one of the largest and most modern ski areas in the world! The SkiWelt was voted to one of the best ski areas worldwide on various occasions by the platform "Skiresort Service International", and during the winter season 11/12 it was additionally granted an award as one of the top ski areas!

Unlimited fun is guaranteed with 90 modern lifts, 288 km of groomed pistes and several fun parks. Itter is directly connected to the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental by its local mountain Hohe Salve. The Salvista mountain railway takes you comfortably to the mountain station at 1,565 m, from where you can access more transport possibilities. The 3.5 km long valley run to Itter awaits fit skiers on the Hohe Salve, and experienced skiers will also get their money's worth along the almost 2 km's worth of black pistes located at the Hohe Salve gondola. Freeriders can take advantage of the Salvista valley run while boarders burn off energy in the Snowpark Söll with tables, kicker, and rails. Westendorf and Ellmau also have snow parks with quarter-pipe and further challenging elements. A real treat can be had at one of the 80 rest stops that line the ski area.

If you are going on holiday together with your children, or if in fact you yourself have a thing for fairytales, you should definitely check out the new 10-person "discovery"-gondola in SkiWelt Söll. Interesting experiences built around the theme "Hans in Luck" await you!

By upgrading to the "Super Ski Card" lift pass, you get access to over 2,750 km of piste and 938 lifts in 22 ski regions.

Night skiing Itter

The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers night skiing opportunities in Söll, Brixen and Westendorf. Austria's largest night ski area can be found in the SkiWelt Söll. From Wednesday to Saturday, 10 km of prepared pistes are available until night-time. The five pistes in the area around Hochsöll gondola and the chair lifts Keat and Hexen6er are illuminated by floodlight until 21:30. Apart from the numerous descents, the fun area "Hans im Glück" at the 4-person chairlift is illuminated for night-time skiing fun. Night skiing in Söll is extraordinary and so extensive that a separate lift pass has to be acquired.

In Westendorf, the 500 m beginner's slope is at the 4-person chairlift is illuminated every Tuesday until 21:00. In Brixen, night owls can look forward to the 300 m blue night ski piste at Schusterbühel lift. It is illuminated until 19:00. Also in Westendorf and Brixen a fee has to be paid in order to enjoy night skiing.

Après ski Itter

Alongside eventful days on the piste, Itter and Hopfgarten offer numerous alternatives, such as tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating and curling. Snowshoe and winter hikes through the snowy mountains are also popular here.

On the husky ranch in Angerberg, discover interesting insights into the world of husky sports. Why not give an intro course in husky sports a go?

Otherwise, various bars, restaurants, lodges and cafes with dancefloors ensure you won't be bored or hungry. Party animals can dance till the early morning hours in "Salvista-Stadl" in Itter. Trying out the nightlife in nearby resorts Ellmau, Söll or even Kitzbühel or Kirchberg is also worthwhile!

Snowpark: Snowpark Hexenwelle Itter

Multiple great snow parks are available for you in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. From Hopfgarten you can most easily reach the "Crazy Kangaroo Park" in Söll with a fantastic set-up. At 1,220 m altitude there are 19 elements, which are only waiting to be tried out.

Newbies can get started on kickers and a fun box in the beginners area. The medium area offers the more advanced riders boxes, kickers and an 10 m table, a downhill rail and various jibs. A special highlight is the 450 m long Funny Bird Slope at the Salvenmoss chairlift, which is divided into 2 lines. Let your creativity run wild on corners, boxes, jumps, a 7 m long tunnel or a snail obstacle. As the Funny Bird slope also has its own floodlight system, night sessions take place on multiple nights each week.

If you are on the lookout for additional snow park fun, you can go to the "Intersport Kaiserpark" in Ellmau, and in Westendorf, the "Big Playground" offers challenging elements on the new super-cross line. The "Mini Playground" in Westendorf invites you to practice easier tricks.
