Cross-country Riezlern
In Kleinwalsertal, you can expect to find approx. 50 km of trails waiting for you! The trails are spread out over three different tracks, which range from incredibly easy up to intermediate. The longest stretch is the Steinbock trail with approx. 15 km length, on which about 5 km specifically designed for skating-style cross-country is designed and as an extra from December some are with snow covered. The Schwende trail is also quite nice with its approx. 12 km length, with 2.5 km designed for skating. The Küren-Wäldele-Egg trail also offers another 13 km of cross-country fun. Use of the trails is free with the Kleinwalsertal Guest Card.
Biathlon fans will also have the chance to try out these Nordic sports in Riezlern. At the Alpine guest house Hörnlepass, there is an area set up for a shooting range, a Biathlon circuit and an additional penalty circuit. Curious newcomers will find trial days often available to try out.
An interesting concept that's been integrated into the trails are the movement and vitality programme "Vietalwege Walser Omgang," which is to be noticed during winter. The trails provide different benefits to your body whilst skiing, with settings such as "Active," "Balance," and "Regeneration."
