Ski area Châtel

With the "Châtel Espace Liberté" lift pass, you have a total of around 120 kilometres of piste at your disposal in the heart of the Les Portes du Soleil ski region, which are connected by 59 ski lifts. The pistes in Châtel itself are at an altitude of approx. 1,050 - 2,400 metres. Due to its proximity to Lake Geneva, there is a lot of precipitation in the region and therefore naturally a lot of snowfall in winter. If this doesn't materialise, several snow cannons guarantee skiing fun from mid-December to the end of April. In addition to Châtel, the lift pass also includes pistes in the areas of Torgon, Morgins and La Chapelle d'Abondance.

Children are also well catered for in Châtel. Children can learn to ski through play on the ski playground or take part in a children's ski course at one of the five ski schools. A crèche for children aged between 3 months and 6 years is a special service in Châtel. Due to the wide range of green and blue pistes, Châtel is very suitable for beginners and pleasure skiers. With 24 red and 7 black pistes, advanced skiers will also get their money's worth.

The Smoothpark in Super-Châtel offers various obstacles for beginners and experts.

With the "Les Portes du Soleil" lift pass, you even have 580 kilometres of piste at your disposal, which can be reached via direct connections to Avoriaz or the Swiss resorts of Torgon and Morgins (see ski region).

Après ski Châtel

The options for spending the evening after returning from the piste in Châtel range from sporting activities to culinary experiences. Familiar leisure activities such as ice skating, snowshoeing and night hiking are just as much a part of the programme as new trends. For example, how about a ride on the Yooner mini snow kart, an airboard or the Fantasticable cable car?

For fans of French cheese, a visit to the local cheese dairy is definitely worthwhile, where you can watch traditional cheese being made. The speciality in the local restaurants is of course the delicious cheese fondue, which is celebrated here with great tradition and joy.

You and your family can enjoy exciting and relaxing moments at the Forme d'O aqua centre. Various indoor pools as well as an outdoor pool ensure a wonderful time away from the piste.

Snowpark Châtel: Snowpark

The snow park is located in the Super-Châtel ski area, in the heart of Les Portes du Soleil, and offers a variety of modules for beginners and pros alike. Freestylers can let off steam on the rails, kickers, slide boxes and in the boarder cross. Those who want to take a break can then relax in the chill zone or party in the hut in the centre of the park.
