Ski area Nesselwang
The highest point in the Nesselwang ski area is at the Kombibahn mountain station at 1,463 metres. The red pistes and the ski route (no. 7) start from here, while the blue descents and the 4 km-long toboggan run branch off further down. Blue descent no. 1/2 is floodlit every evening for night skiing. On the same descent and therefore also in the floodlit area is the snow park, where freestylers can let off steam on various obstacles. In the valley area, beginners can learn their first turns on the practice t-bar lifts in the Kinderland.
You can also purchase the "Vitales Land" lift pass directly on site, which allows you to use around 140 kilometres of piste and over 70 lift systems in the region. The "Vitales Land" ski region extends in the Allgäu approx. 20 km south of Kempten with Pfronten, Nesselwang, Füssen, Schwangau, Göisried and Halblech to the southern Allgäu and on the Tyrolean side via Jungholz, Tannheimer Tal, the Tyrolean Lechtal and the Reutte Nature Park region.
Night skiing Nesselwang
In the Allgäu, as in other ski areas in Germany, night skiing is a firm favourite for winter sports enthusiasts. With its floodlit valley runs and illuminated snow park, the small town of Nesselwang offers a small but fine night skiing area for extended skiing fun at night. The Kombibahn and the parallel Stellenbichl lift extend their operating hours every evening, so that after a day's skiing from 18:00 to 21:00, you can once again enjoy unadulterated skiing fun on the main run and another piste. A total of 2 kilometres are available for night skiing. The refreshment stops are still open late at night and freestylers also get their money's worth during night skiing, as the snow park is also located in the floodlit area.
Après ski Nesselwang
A special leisure highlight in the ski area is the "AlpspitzKick", the longest zipline in Germany. The zipline starts at the Alpspitzbahn mountain station at around 1,500 metres and runs over 1.2 km in two sections down to the middle station. Passengers can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h. The challenging toboggan run also starts about ten minutes' walk from the Alpspitzbahn middle station. The route leads over 1 km and 13 bends into the valley.
For nature lovers and active people, there is also plenty to experience in and around Nesselwang. Around 50 km of cleared winter hiking trails lead through the Allgäu winter landscape, including to fantastic viewpoints. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Austrian Alps. We recommend the Hufbichl winter hiking trail, which starts at the Alpspitzbahn mountain station and runs towards Edelsberg. There is also a beautiful route from the toboggan run and through the forest to the Maria Trost pilgrimage church. Guided winter hikes and snowshoe tours are offered several times a week from Nesselwang. There is also the opportunity to take a biathlon taster course in the village. At the Trendsportzentrum Allgäu, guests aged 12 and over are allowed to use the shooting range.
Relaxation and recreation and water fun for children are available at the Alpspitz-Bade-Center. The sauna area there has four saunas, a steam bath and a sanarium. A must for wellness fans.
Snowpark Nesselwang: Snowpark Nesselwang
The Nesselwang snow park is widely known in the freestyle scene and is considered the top address for freestylers in the Allgäu. The area, designed as a street fun park, is a popular meeting place for the scene, where national contests and events also take place. The park has an impressive kicker line with large and small jumps as well as other classic-style obstacles. Next door, there is a kids' park for budding freestylers with special boxes and kicker waves of an easy difficulty level.
When the floodlights are switched on on the main run in the evening, the snow park is also bathed in spotlights, giving the jumps and tricks a special atmosphere. Night skiing and the evening shredding fun take place daily from 6 to 9 pm.
