Ski holidays Comelico Superiore – holidays in untouched nature

Comelico Superiore

Surrounded by snow-covered alpine meadows and conifer forests, the municipality of Comelico Superiore lies in the valley of the Padola stream in the Dolomites. The municipality is divided into four districts, which are bordered be the Popera group rock massif to the west.

Candide is the oldest resort. Casamazzagno is located above Candide on a hillside and has narrow, steep streets. After two large fires in the 19th century, Dosoledo has been reconstructed to preserve the resort's earlier appearance. Padola has also been rebuilt after a fire, and nowadays serves as the tourist centre.

The nearby ski area "Drei Zinnen Dolomiten" is perfectly suited for families. The pistes are largely easy to medium in difficulty and are relatively wide, allowing for beginners and children to practice easily. However, the ski area also has more challenging slopes, so that the rest of the family, or more advanced skiers, can get their money's worth.

Cadore

Cadore is a region with a varied landscape in the Bellunesi Dolomites that turns into a glittering white winter-wonderland during the cold season. The landscape is characterised by the jagged summits of the surrounding mountain rages of the Dolomites, which change from steep rock faces to densely wooded foothills.

The majestic Monte Antelao (3,264 m) oversees the region. At the foot of the second highest Dolomite summit after Marmolada, you can find several villages that are - characterised by an old history - conscious in tradition. The buildings, designed partly in Grand Architecture, impress with their Venetian style and have a majestic charm. The river Boite runs by the side valley. In the north-west it reaches a spacious, flat area which is home to the famous winter sports resort Cortine d'Ampezzo and attracts many winter sport fans.
