Cross-country skiing is by far not as popular in the USA as it is in Europe, however it is developing with the rising number of European tourists.In the midst of the Rocky Mountains lies the resort Beckenridge. Cross-country skiers can look forward to 32 km of trails in the area of the White River National Forest.

Due to the various different geographical structures in the national park, the area is ideal for both beginners as well as experts. Cross-country enthusiasts will find Beaver Creek and it's ski centre to be a destination worthwhile. The centre is located just above Strawberry Park Express Lifts.
