Ski area Folgarida - Marilleva

With the "Folgarida-Marilleva" lift pass, you can ski along 62 km of piste with altitudes ranging from 1,300 to 2,180 m. Access to the ski area is about 8 km above Dimaro in the "frazione" of Folgarida. The ski area has 36 runs, almost all of which can be covered in artificial snow. The longest piste measures 5 km long and runs from Monte Vigo down to the valley station of Marilleva 1400. The huts at the mountain stations have Wi-Fi hotspots and provide winter sports fans with great views of the Brenta Dolomites. Above Marilleva, you'll also find a snow park. On Monte Spolverino, there are mostly easy, blue runs, while on Monte Vigo, a few speedy red pistes are waiting to be tried out. When on Monte Vigo, you have the chance to take a direct piste connection into the famous Madonna di Campiglio.

With the "SkiArea" lift pass, the neighbouring ski areas can also be used. These include the ski areas of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folgarida-Marilleva and Pejo (see ski region). A total of 150 km of pistes are therefore available to ensure lots of variety!

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

In order to ensure safety on the ski pistes in Italy, new safety regulations will come into force from 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Dimaro

Some ski areas in Italy offer pistes that are illuminated for night skiing. The Folgarida-Marilleva is one of thos enight ski areas which offers night-time skiing fun. Only a few kilometres from Dimaroy, winter sports fans will find the first night ski piste in Folgarida: every Tuesday, the "Stadio Slalom"-piste is opened for evening skiing fun from 16:30 to 19:00. Those who want to go skiing even later in the evening can go night skiing on the "Biancaneve" piste in Marilleva every Thursday from 21:00 - 23:00. A further possibility to go night skiing can be found in the Pejo ski area, where the "Mezoli" piste is open for night skiing every Monday and Thursday from 20:45 to 22:45. You can go night skiing for free with a valid lift pass for the ski areas. Night skiing lift tickets are also available in resort.

Après ski Dimaro

Après ski in the ski area is mostly concentrated in Madonna die Campiglio. Here, après ski reigns for a sociable end to your day of skiing. In Dimaro itself, the evenings are rather quiet and comfortable. However, party-hungry night owls will find that the "New Liquid Club" provides proper après ski. Moreover, Dimaro has a few good restaurants that offer regional and traditional Italian cuisine.Cultural events like theatre and concerts regularly take place in the municipal theatre, and in the local casino, you can roll the dice and take a chance. Those who really want to treat themselves should head to the exclusive spa centre with its various massages and beauty treatments, providing you with an all-around comfort programme.

For hikers and nature-lovers, the "Dimaro-Alm" is a popular excursion tip. It's located above the resort on the way to the Campo Carlo Magno Pass. From there, visitors have a perfect view of the majestic, opposite-facing peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. The huts there also offer cheeses and sausages produced in the region - a real treat in all senses of the word!

Snowpark: Snowpark Alternative Park Dimaro

There are two snow parks in the "Folgarida-Marilleva" ski area. The "Alternative Snowpark" in Marilleva lies next to the Malba Panciana mountain hut. A great area for freestylers was created here with lots of attention to detail. You can make your way to the netted-off area by taking the Malga Copai-Panciana 6-person gondola. 300 m² of total area riddled with the most diverse obstacles possible poses quite a special challenge even for expert riders. You can choose from various boxes and rails as well as diverse kickers and a quarter-pipe. The park has already been a venue for several competitions and festivals.

In Folgarida, freestyler beginners have the chance to test out their first tricks in the "Malghet Haut" snow park. Little boxes and rails, as well as two kickers, can be found above the valley station of the "Bamby" chair lift.
