Ski area Śnieżka (Schneekoppe) - Karpacz (Krummhübel)

The Winterpol Karpacz ski area is located at the foot of Śnieżka, the highest mountain in the Giant Mountains at an altitude of 1,602 metres. The ski area was completely rebuilt in 2011 and stands out with its modern lift systems, the 6-seater high-speed chair lift with a canopy. Two lifts and around 2.5 kilometres of piste are available here. Most of the piste above is red. Here you will also find the baby lift on the practice slope. Further down, red and blue descents branch off. Most of the descents are easy to ski. All the pistes can be covered with snow thanks to snow-making facilities. In February, you can even ski here late into the night. The ski area is relatively simple, but thanks to the great views and the famous Schneekoppe, it is very popular with locals and tourists, so there is always something going on in the season from January to early April.

On the opposite slope, the Śnieżka Karpacz ski area offers a further 3.5 kilometres of piste. Below the Schneekoppe, a ski lift and 4 t-bar lifts open up at an altitude of 820 to 1,350 metres. You can buy a lift pass for these directly on site.

Those seeking exercise will find numerous hiking trails through the beautiful Karkonosze National Park, which stretches on both sides of the Polish-Czech border and protects large parts of the Krkonoše Mountains. Rough rocky gorges, small mountain lakes and vast plateaus characterise the wild and romantic landscape, which invites you to explore. Whether on foot, by sledge, on cross-country skiing or touring skis - nature lovers in particular will get their money's worth here. Toboggan fans will also find the Alpine Coaster, a weather-independent bobsleigh run right in Karpacz. The run has a winding 800 metre track and is open all year round.
